What Mentoring for Businesswomen Actually Means

It’s pretty much what it says on the tin.  It is mentoring for businesswomen.

To unpack that, Mentoring can be explained as “being alongside you or a couple of steps ahead of you, on your journey”.  In other words, mentoring with us will be led by you.

How does that work?  Sounds a little bit “DIY”?  Don’t worry. We keep your priorities and aspirations centre stage.  However, we will also give you a structured, confidential space, with honest challenge and feedback about your behaviours, choices and their impact. You will gain strategic clarity, because you can use your mentor as your trusted confidante, so you can explore your dreams to see how you can achieve them.  Perhaps best of all, you can keep yourself accountable so you can’t slip back from making progress because something feels just too hard.

What we offer is different from our Executive Coaching offer, which focuses on 1:1 personal development toward specific goals and outcomes that you want to achieve.

What we offer is also different from our Acumen Supper Club™ mastermind product, where you would have a peer group of like-minded female founders with whom to build your leadership skills and your business’ growth.

Who we help

This is for you if you are a female founder or a woman leading an organisation.  You’ll be serious about your personal growth, which will mean that you are open to challenge and that you would welcome considered, structured support to find the right path for you.

As with so much of our offer, this won’t be for  you if you’re after quick fixes, informal moans over a latte, and you’re not ready to reflect constructively and honestly on your own leadership performance.  If you’ve got this far, it’s pretty likely this isn’t you.

We mentor women internationally (EU, US and Middle East).  However we are bringing this to Hampshire and Dorset as a focused service, concentrating on the female founders who are the bedrock of our local economy.  We already work with female leaders in Southampton, Ringwood, Totton, Highcliffe and the surrounding parts of Hampshire, “BCP” and Dorset.  We’re based in the New Forest, so we’re particularly keen to support our local fempreneurs.

For some women, the peer mastermind we offer in the safe, convivial environment of the Acumen Supper Club™   is just what you might be looking for – a network of supportive women just like you who truly “get it”.

For others, however, 1:1 mentoring feels the most appropriate next step.  That’s where we come in.
